WHARTON, Texas (KIAH) — Two tornadoes touched down in Wharton County early Thursday morning as extreme storms moved throughout southeast Texas.
The Nationwide Climate Service stated that one twister touched down with 100-mph winds simply northeast of Wharton at 3:05 a.m. to three:10 a.m. It was categorized as an EF-1 twister that went 1.6 miles east throughout County Roads 166, 133 and 129.
