‘Proceeds from illicit exercise’

What they’re saying:

“Our frontline CBP officers preserve a continuing state of vigilance and their utilization of inspections expertise, expertise and know-how led to this vital outbound foreign money and weapons seizure,” stated Port Director Carlos Rodriguez, Hidalgo Port of Entry. “Seizures of unreported bulk foreign money, usually proceeds from illicit exercise, and weapons deprive cartels of earnings and the flexibility to inflict additional hurt on others.”
