HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — After feeling like they had been promised safety, some Harris County neighbors cannot consider there is not sufficient cash for flood tasks.
On Thursday, Harris County Flood Management District Director Tina Petersen instructed commissioners there’s not sufficient cash to complete the tasks from the 2018 bond. Voters overwhelmingly handed the $2.5 billion bond after Hurricane Harvey flooded 120,000 buildings throughout the county.
