Prairie View fires metropolis secretary, suspends metropolis supervisor after avenue enchancment contract approval

PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas (KTRK) — Prairie View politics took middle stage Friday afternoon throughout a heated metropolis council assembly.

Leverett mentioned he referred to as the assembly to debate terminating town supervisor and metropolis secretary after he accused them of shifting ahead with a avenue enchancment mission with out metropolis council approval.

Metropolis Supervisor Wendy Parker and the Metropolis Secretary Jamie Department defended their actions, saying the roads at the moment are safer after the advance mission.

“I’ve performed nothing, my metropolis employees has performed nothing, my metropolis secretary has performed nothing. We’re 1,000% harmless on something that they are accusing us of proper now,” Parker mentioned.
