SAN CLEMENTE, Calif. (KABC) — Orange County sheriff’s deputies had been scouring a San Clemente neighborhood Tuesday for a person suspected of stabbing a deputy on patrol.
The deputy, on patrol with a associate, was assaulted at about 2:15 p.m. Tuesday within the space of Avenida Pico and Calle de Los Molinos, based on spokeswoman Carrie Braun of the Orange County Sheriff’s Division.
The deputy was taken to a hospital, however her wounds weren’t thought of life-threatening, Orange County sheriff’s Sgt. Matt Timmins stated.
The suspect was described as a white man in his mid-30s, who’s about 5-feet-10 and weighs about 160 kilos with brown hair, blue eyes and a beard, Braun stated. He was sporting a black jacket and darkish pants and was final seen working towards a storm drain at Pico and El Camino Actual.
The person is reportedly a recognized transient who has had earlier contact with the sheriff’s division.
