WASHINGTON — A person carrying a firearm close to the White Home was shot and injured by Secret Service personnel early on Sunday, the service stated in assertion.
The Secret Service had been contacted on Saturday by native police, who stated a “suicidal particular person” could have been touring to Washington from Indiana, in accordance with the assertion.
Members of the Secret Service discovered the person’s parked car close to seventeenth and F streets in Washington at about midnight, the assertion stated. The car was parked close to the Eisenhower Government Workplace Constructing, which is subsequent to the White Home.
“In addition they noticed a person on foot matching the outline close by,” the assertion stated. “As officers approached, the person brandished a firearm and an armed confrontation ensued, throughout which photographs have been fired by our personnel.”
