HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) — A 9-year-old lady was rushed to the hospital after she stated her dad gave her drug-infused sweets.
Her father was arrested on a child-endangering cost, in line with the Harris County Precinct 5 Constable’s Workplace. (Eyewitness Information is not naming him till the cost is posted on the courtroom clerk’s web site).
The lady’s mom informed Eyewitness Information that she had dropped her daughter off at his northwest Harris County residence Thursday evening.
“She known as me in a panic. She stated her coronary heart was racing, and she or he simply did not really feel proper,” the mom, who requested to not be recognized, stated.
When she bought to the residence, she stated she discovered her daughter struggling to face.
“She stated, ‘Daddy simply gave me two items of chocolate and I ate these and my Capri Solar.'”
The lady’s mother stated that when she took her daughter to the hospital, urine assessments confirmed she was constructive for THC, a psychoactive chemical generally present in marijuana.
“I wished to cry proper there after they stated that. I could not consider it,” she stated, noting that her daughter’s coronary heart fee was 142 beats per minute.
She stated she known as authorities herself to report her ex-husband, who she says continued to name her.
“I stated, ‘How might you do that? How might you give our daughter edibles?’ And he stated, ‘No, I did not,'” she stated.
“Even wished me to carry her again to him for the weekend, and I stated, “No, completely not,'” she added.
The lady is now at dwelling recovering. Finally test, her dad was being processed on the Harris County Jail.
“Actually, I’d most likely hit him. I can not consider that he would do that,” the lady’s mom stated.
