HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — The Metropolis of Houston gathered on Saturday to pay respects to the late former mayor and U.S. Congressman Sylvester Turner, who died on March 5.
Nationwide and native leaders, together with the 62nd mayor’s family and friends, arrived on the Church With out Partitions for his remaining celebration of life after mendacity in state within the Metropolis Corridor rotunda and mendacity “in honor” on the State Capitol earlier within the week.

Turner was a longtime member of the northwest church for over 35 years.
