A lady who has accused Sean “Diddy” Combs and Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter of raping her after an awards present in 2000 when she was 13 can stay nameless as her lawsuit proceeds, a federal choose has dominated.
The girl’s lawsuit was initially filed in October — one in all numerous nameless civil complaints filed by Texas legal professional Tony Buzbee in opposition to Combs. The swimsuit was amended in December to incorporate Carter, who has denied the allegations.
Carter filed a movement earlier this month asking the choose to disclaim the plaintiff’s request to stay nameless, calling for both her identification to be disclosed or the swimsuit to be dismissed.

The choose mentioned allegations of sexual assault are extremely delicate and of an especially private nature and that the girl who filed the lawsuit is “notably weak to the attainable harms of disclosure,” as a result of, in response to her lawsuit, she suffers despair, post-traumatic stress dysfunction and a seizure dysfunction related to the stress of her sexual assault.

However, citing the “exceedingly early stage on this case,” the choose dominated the girl can stay nameless for now.

The plaintiff, who claims in her lawsuit Jay-Z and Sean Combs assaulted her on the after-party of the MTV Video Music Awards in 2000, has acknowledged inconsistencies along with her account. Nonetheless, she has stood by her allegations.
Carter and his lawyer have strongly denied the claims in each public statements and in court docket filings, accusing Buzbee, the girl’s lawyer, of conducting an “extortionate marketing campaign” in opposition to him.
