HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A girl and a small baby had been pronounced lifeless after the Harris County Sheriff’s Workplace says they drowned when their automotive went underwater in a neighborhood on Friday.
In accordance with officers, the lady, recognized as Crystal Njepu, was driving a 2020 Kia Telluride within the 17300 block of Market Avenue when she reportedly suffered a medical emergency that triggered her automotive to veer off and onto the gravel street.
HCSO stated the automotive abruptly stopped and accelerated into the grassy space and the water. Officers stated a bystander observed the automotive sinking quickly and being submerged as a present took it beneath a bridge.
HCSO stated the person jumped into the water, broke a window, and saved passengers, a five-year-old and a seven-year-old, in the back and front seats.
The 2 younger youngsters had been taken to the hospital and have since been reunited with household.
