MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas – A person from The Woodlands was charged after Montgomery County District 3 constables mentioned he dragged a deputy along with his truck whereas rushing away from an investigation.
What we all know:
Daniel Matthew Irwin, 37, was charged with assault on a peace officer. He’s being held within the Montgomery County Jail.
Deputies mentioned they executed a search warrant within the 29100 block of Interstate 45 as a part of an ongoing felony investigation.
After they approached Irwin, who was believed to be linked to the investigation, deputies say he refused to get out of his truck.
Authorities mentioned they tried to bodily take away Irwin from the truck, when he turned “combative” earlier than placing his truck in drive and rushing away.
The deputy was dragged by the truck and acquired minor accidents. The deputy was taken to a hospital in The Woodlands for therapy.
Montgomery County Decide Mark Keough mentioned Irwin was taken into custody inside an hour of the incident.
“Montgomery County is blessed to have such devoted women and men defending our neighborhood,” Keough mentioned.
