NEW YORK (KABC) — A Polish millionaire and CEO, who took tennis participant Kamil Majchrzak’s hat from a younger fan on the U.S. Open, apologized on social media and mentioned he has returned it.
Piotr Szczerek posted an apology on social media Monday after video of the incident went viral over the weekend. The published confirmed Szczerek grabbing Majchrzak’s hat from a boy after the participant’s singles match towards Karen Khachanov.
“What are you doing?” the kid, whose title is Brock, yells as the person stuffs the hat in a bag.
Szczerek, who’s from Poland, wrote on Fb that he made a mistake pondering Majchrzak was giving him the hat for his sons, who had requested earlier for an autograph. Within the publish, he mentioned he had apologized personally.
Initially, Szczerek didn’t subject an apology.
