San Francisco 49ers’ Christian McCaffrey, Chargers coach Jim Harbaugh are amongst 32 nominees for the NFL’s Salute to Service award


NEW YORK — The NFL’s Salute to Service Award nominees vary from Chargers coach Jim Harbaugh and 49ers star operating again Christian McCaffrey to a member of the Patriots safety employees, an Eagles sport day worker and the Dolphins head groundskeeper.

The NFL and USAA introduced this 12 months’s nominees for the Salute to Service Award on Wednesday. The award acknowledges NFL gamers, coaches, employees and alumni “who make distinctive efforts to honor and assist navy and veteran communities.”
