Suspect Ryan Dwayne Turner Jr. pleads not responsible to homicide in dying of San Bernardino County sheriff’s deputy in Victorville crash


SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (KABC) — A person accused of driving a stolen automotive throughout a high-speed chase pleaded not responsible on Thursday in reference to the dying of a sheriff’s deputy who died when the pursuit ended in a Victorville crash.

Ryan Dwayne Turner Jr., a 22-year-old resident of San Bernardino, entered the plea in courtroom after being charged with second-degree homicide. He was being held with out bail.

Deputy Hector Cuevas Jr., 36, died within the violent collision on Monday.

“From Day 1 that I met him, I all the time mentioned he was my son from one other mom,” Sonia Bracey, a buddy of Cuevas’s household, advised reporters outdoors the courthouse on Thursday. “Such an enormous smile, such a caring man, simply cherished life.
