INGLEWOOD, Calif. (KABC) — Tons of of youngsters on Friday have been handled to a special occasion at SoFi Stadium as a part of ABC7’s Spark of Love Toy Drive.
“That is 32 years of partnership with ABC7 and L.A. County Hearth. Spark of Love, it is all in regards to the youngsters,” L.A. County Hearth Battalion Chief Ron Haralson stated. “Being right here at SoFi, that is what it is about, so that is all the pieces.”
L.A. County firefighters have been out spreading Spark of Love cheer, together with Rams gamers, cheerleaders and mascot Rampage.
“It is a phenomenal time of yr, and I am simply comfortable to be part of it,” Rams security John Johnson III stated.
Amazon donated two vans full of toys and $100,000 to the Spark of Love Toy Drive.
After the youngsters took a tour of SoFi Stadium, they grabbed lunch and a toy to take house.
For eighth grader Fernando Rodriguez, he discovered one thing to take house for his mom.
“A lot of the years I have never gotten her something, and this time I made a decision to assume as an alternative of for myself, for her,” he stated.
ABC7’s very personal Teresa Samaniego was honored by the Rams with the Playmakers Award in recognition for all of the work she’s put in to make Spark of Love occur yearly.
“I am unable to let you know how touched and stunned I’m, however I do know that that is going to assist so many kids,” she stated.
Our toy drive runs via Christmas Eve.
